وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا ۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Translation
Sahih International
And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
Word-by-Word Translation
وَهُوَ
And He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
مَدَّ
spread
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the earth
وَجَعَلَ
and placed
فِيهَا
in it
رَوَٰسِىَ
firm mountains
وَأَنْهَـٰرًۭا ۖ
and rivers
وَمِن
and from
كُلِّ
all
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
(of) the fruits
جَعَلَ
He made
فِيهَا
in it
زَوْجَيْنِ
pairs
ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ
two
يُغْشِى
He covers
ٱلَّيْلَ
the night
ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ
(with) the day
إِنَّ
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍۢ
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
who ponder
